Innoson Vehicles CEO Celebrates 63rd Birthday

In what might seem to be a coincidence, as Nigeria is celebrating 63 years of gaining independence from the British colonial masters, Chief Dr Innocent Chukwuma, the CEO of Innoson Vehicles is also celebrating 63rd birthday.

This simply means that Chief Innocent Chukwuma was born the same day Nigeria gained independence. It was a great day as usual, people gathered from far and near to celebrate a great man, a man whose courageous entrepreneurial spirit has led to great achievements, through which thousands of people are directly affected positively either by direct employment or by charity work. You then talk about the millions of lives his establishments have indirectly affected positively .

On his birthday which was the first of October, Chief Innocent Chukwuma was not home. He traveled and was supposed to come back to his Nnewi country home on that day. Family members and well wishers planned many surprise packages with which they will wow him on his arrival.

By 12 noon, different set of people have started arriving his country home in Uru, Umudim Nnewi in Anambra state. IVM Social media hangout,which is a group of social media enthusiasts who are passionate about the Innoson brand were there too. Many people came with beautifully and creatively baked  cakes and some other packages.

People waited and waited, 2 pm which they said Chairman will come back by clocked and passed, yet he’s not yet arrived.They kept on waiting. 4pm clocked, yet Chairman was not yet home. At this time, many people were already exhausted. But in all these, everybody stayed back. They persisted on witnessing his arrival and celebrating him. What a good man! Such level of patience, especially among young people towards a person tells you how valued, regarded and respected he is.

Just as it was few minutes past 5pm in the evening, people got a notice that Chairman was already at the gate with his small convoy. You needed to see the excitement and euphoria in people’s faces. Cameras started rolling even before they drove in. Immediately they drove in, the saxophonist Nwem Sax and the great Highlife celebrity we have in the house Professor Onye Egwu took over the stage. They started singing happy birthday songs to him, followed by some songs of eulogy.

Immediately Chief Innocent Chukwuma stepped down from his Innoson G-50 vehicle, the entire crowd led by his amiable wife rushed towards his direction, surrounded him and “happy birthday chief”, “happy birthday Okpụzụ”, “happy birthday Innoson” were all being chanted by the crowd.

As his wife huged him and was saying some words of praises him, Innoson was indeed touched. Everyone could see those goodwill speeches from his wife went straight to the deepest part of his heart.

He got humbled. Indeed, a good woman knows his way to his man’s heart.

First things first, Mr Cornel Osigwe, the head of communications of Innoson Vehicles and also the CEO of Anaedo TV and Maintrust Properties and homes took over the microphone to explain to Chairman that all the people in the house came to give him a surprise birthday celebration, as Innoson never expected such.

As the event proceeded, Chief Innocent Chukwuma first did the breaking of Kolanut, after which he and his wife cut the cake. People started doing their presentations. Some of the brands present were Tigerfoods that presented some bottles of their luxury ‘Angelus’ wine to him. Obi Cubana had his own brand represented too and they also presented some of their products to Innoson. SUG presidents from different tertiary institutions in Anambra state were presents, the  Anambra state commissioner for commerce was present, the Nnewi North Local Government Chairman was present, staff and students of Friends of Friends School in Akammili Umudim, Nnewi led by their director Mr Caleb Okeke were present, with a whole lot of others.

So many other music artistes also entertained the people and sang for Chief Innocent Chukwuma.

One of the peak moments of the day was when Eagles Arts, a very talented Artist in Nnewi presented an abstract artwork he did for Innoson to him. Innoson and every other person was wowed with the creativity put into the work, especially as he explained the details of the artwork. Chief Innocent Chukwuma, his brother Chief Gabriel Chukwuma who was always by his side and everybody gave him a standing ovation. Innoson took over the microphone to specially appreciate the Artist and blessed him, said good prayers of greatness to him too.
