How The Youngest Ọzọ Title Holder In Nnewi, Nze Tobe Osigwe(Eze Ikolommụọ) Attended Iri Ji(New Yam Festival) Of Ana Nnewi
Yesterday the 21st of July, 2023 was a remarkable day in Nnewi kingdom as Ana Nnewi, the foremost deity in Nnewi celebrated Iri ji(New Yam Festival).
His celebration of iri ji is always symbolic in Nnewi, as Ana is always the first to do so, meaning that New Yam Festival celebration in Nnewi have officially started and other deities and people will now go on with their own iri ji.
So everyone in Nnewi converged at Okwu Ana shrine yesterday to observe this symbolic event.
Nze Tobe Osigwe AKA Eze Ikolommụọ as a true ambassador of Ọdịnala Igbo, an Ọzọ Nnewi title holder at that was never missing in action. He showed up in style as usual, with a Goat, Nzu, Edo, Ọjị Igbo and every other necessary items needed for such visit, especially as Onye Nze.
Arriving at the venue, Nze Tobe Osigwe pull up with his entourage. Marching into the shrine of Ana Nnewi, he and his entourage stole the moment. The entire crowd were mesmerised, as all attention were on them.
Eze Ikolommụọ is one person that knows how to carry and present himself in a way that is befitting for his status and title.
They were all looking stylish, neat, gloruios and charismatic.
Who says Ọdịnala is not amamzing?
Who says you can’t practice Ọdịnala and look neat and fashionable?
Who says Ọdịnala is dirty?
So as Nze Tobe Osigwe and his entourage of Ọdịnala people were about to enter the shrine, they were received by Isi Ana Nnewi.
They entered, stood before Ana, prayed, revered him, thanked him for all his good deeds and also made good wishes. All the prayers were done with the right praying Items like Nzu, Edo, Ọjị Igbo.
When they were done, they presented the Goat and other gifts of thanks to the deity, did few other things and exited.
Nze Tobe Osigwe is organising a special four days Afịa-Ọlụ festival this coming August, and it will be such that has never been seen in Nnewi.
