UBU ACHITA RIVER
Ubu river is the largest and most beautiful river in Anambra.
Ụbụ Achịta River is a green coloured river located within Amiliba and Umuzu communities in Otolo,Nnewi in Anambra State.
It’s a sacred river, very neat and holding so many tourism potentials .At Ụbụ Achịta River, there are do’s and don’ts and those rules have helped in preserving the river and keeping it very natural and serene.
It house different sea creatures like Fishes and crocodiles. One of the sacred rules guiding the river is that one does not capture nor kill the fishes. There are river guardians always around to put visitors through the rules guiding the river.
The crocodiles too is said to be sacred and does not hurt people as it represent the goddess which resides in the water. So it is welcoming.

IGWE NNEWI PALACE
The Nnewi monarchy is a traditional inheritance of the throne based on patrilineality and sonship heredity. In Nnewi the traditional monarch is called the Igwe. The Igwe is born and not made or elected, and the institution of inheritance is the traditional right and primogeniture privilege. The position is neither transferable nor negotiable.
The Igwe Nnewi palace is a landmark, a historical place and a place of tourism because it holds the old royal structures that were built and installed by the previous monarchs in power before the present day structures were put in place.
It also holds some ancient and fascinating trees that are worth having knowledge about.
The palace secretary is also in charge of scheduling a visit and/or meeting with the Igwe on special or very important occasions.
NNEWI MUSEUM
The Nnewi Museum is a cultural institution built by Igwe Nnewi and dedicated to Nnewi People. The museum is in charge of the preservation, protecting and educating visitors.
There are several amazing cultural pieces and artefacts dating centuries back. Some royal priceless pieces which were used in the palace by the different monarchs are all in the museum.
The environment of the museum is a picturesque and serene environment with different great vantage spots adorned with artefacts for pictures during visit.
Work tools and home appliances that are peculiar to the olden days are also featured there and the museum runs everyday.
It has an art gallery that houses artworks from renowned artists. So they are open to welcoming visitors.
NWAFOR ORIZU MUSEUM AND ARCHIVES
The home of the first Senate President of Nigeria, Nwafor Orizu Abyssinia, was preserved and converted into a museum and archives of memories from the life of the late senator.
His books, beds, home, bicycle, pictures, working tools etc.
History books relating to his administration as the senate president and politics in his era are on display at the museum.
