Nnewi Creatives, Tech and Media hangout,2022

It was indeed a remarkable day in Nnewi on the 31st of December 2022,as all the creatives in Nnewi gathered together for the first ever creative hangout in the city.Although being planned within a very short period of time,the event still turned up very massive and interesting

On the 31st of December 2022,different creatives in Nnewi from different aspects like writing,tech,speaking,art,media,acting etc all converged at Dabara hotel for the event.Even people who are not from or based in Nnewi also attended .The event kicked off with red carpet interviews which was anchored by beautiful,vibrant and humorous Amaka Nwafor,an on air personality in Authority fm popularly known as Area Mama.

All over the red carpet and the entrance of the venue were beautiful artworks made by Echezone Okeke(JahRule Arts)who is an artist from Nnewi.The artworks made the first statement that what was happening was really a creative event.

People who came quite earlier were playing some side games like ludo,chess etc keeping themselves busy and relaxed while waiting for the event to officially kick off.It was not long and the venue got filled up and the event commenced.

The host of the event was the popular and delectable Real Sophy,a skit maker fondly called Soso by her fans.She was such a great host,as she carried the audience with humours and interesting activities.She also spoke about content creation and how to make money from it.

The speakers for the day started making appearances on stage.Some of the speakers for the day include Tochukwu Anekwe(Creative writer),Chinelo Mbonu aka Ada Anaedo(On air personality),Ujunwanne Ngonadi aka Amy Edwards(Creative ghostwriter),Mr Nnamdi Bill Achisim(Tech professional ),Mr Johnpaul Chibuike Anekwe aka Professor Onye Egwu (High life Musician),and our guest speaker Mr Kene Mkparu (CEO of Komword).

Every speaker spoke intensively about their fields,the opportunities abound and the business side of their creative careers.

Many speakers laid emphasis on Nnewi Creative Industry and how to take it to the next level, especially the keynote speak,Mr Kene Mkparu who is currently building a massive entertainment centre in Nnewi that will come with 22 screens cinema house ,the biggest in the entire West Africa.He talked about how so many people have discouraged him from embarking on the project in Nnewi and gave reasons why he insisted on Nnewi.He stated clearly that the opportunities in Nnewi are immense,but not many can see them.He said that Nnewi is the next big thing and that people should watch out for what is coming.

Other activities and game challenges happened,people networked,ate,had fun.The Nnewi Creatives hangout ended with everyone going him with satisfaction ,knowing they gained values and built networks they needed for themselves
