Nnewi people home and abroad have come together to create a kind of ceremony never seen before in Nnewi . It’s called ỊGBA ỌDỤKA

What’s ỊGBA ỌDỤKA?

ỊGBA ỌDỤKA is a grand event that celebrates our old parents that are 80 years and above, in a very colourful and remarkable way.

It’s high time we start hosting celebration of life ceremony for our aged parents while they are alive, instead of when they have passed on, and that’s why ỊGBA ỌDỤKA NNEWI is here.

The event is titled ỊGBA ỌDỤKA and it’s an initiative of a group called Ime Nnewi Progressives.

Celebration of life is better done alive, that’s why members of IME NNEWI PROGRESSIVES came together to put together this amazing ỊGBA ỌDỤKA event.

All the aged people in Nnewi from 80 years and above will be hosted in a well decorated location, dressed in beautiful and colourful attires, celebrated and appreciated.

A lot of other activities will be happening too.

The event will be happening on the 31st of December, 2024.
